Today I want to share with you something that happened to me last week with my nephew because I had the chance to give him a Life Lesson while playing Video Games!
One of the things that I've learned on my spiritual journey and as a Tarot Reader is that you should never assume things because the future is uncertain and the tables can turn at any second without any notice, so you should NEVER, EVER, GIVE UP!
And that's something really hard to teach, especially to a 13-year-old boy, because it is something you have to live and experience for you to be able to learn it.
But the other day, I had the best chance to teach my nephew that when we were playing Mario Party Superstar on his Nintendo Switch.
Long story short, we started a game and I set the Computer Level on Master (Because I like challenges), and that was a bad idea!
Right from the beginning, my nephew got in 4th place and I in 3rd, and as the game progressed, the computer just got further ahead of us.
Several times, during the game, my nephew paused the game and was about to quit, because it was too hard and he didn't want to keep playing and end up losing the game, so he wanted to give up because from his perspective he was never going to be able to win.
Nevertheless, I urged him not to quit and to just try to have fun playing, while also telling him that the only real losers are the ones who give up.
I somehow managed to keep him playing, while ranting about how one should always keep going and never lose hope because life is unpredictable and miracles can happen at any second.
He was getting pretty bored not only of the game but of me as well, so he kept attempting to quit, but I kept persuading him not to.
And in the last turn of the game, can you guess what happened?
Yes!
I landed in a special space that gave me the chance to hit three dice to swap the Stars and Coins of two players in the game, I thought of choosing the player who was in 1st place, and then choosing me, so I could win the game because I also wanted to win.
But every time I hit the dice it would move faster, so I easily got the player in 1st place on my first dice, then by luck I hit the swap stars and coins on the second dice, but by the time I got to the third dice, it was spinning too fast, so I couldn't control who would be... and it ended up being my nephew.
So he went from being in last place to 1st place and winning the game in the last turn, which blew his mind!
He couldn't believe it, he screamed, laughed, and rejoiced all at the same time!
And I took advantage of the situation to tell him: "You see...? What would have happened if you had given up?"
He didn't say anything back, but I hope this lesson stays with him forever.
